On February 23, 2024, Polkadot enthusiasts, builders, and visionaries convened at Sari Sari Makati for Polkadot Connect Philippines, an event co-organized by Bitskwela, Polkadot Insider, Open Guild, and ATT3ND.

Kicking off the Night

The evening commenced with Jiro Reyes, CEO of Bitskwela, announcing the collaboration with Polkadot Insider and the launch of the eagerly awaited "Polkadot in 5 Minutes" course.

Elaborating on this partnership, he explained how Bitskwela, a Web3 edutech company, will leverage Filipino KOLs, Web3 communities, and student organizations to promote understanding of Polkadot's interoperability, modularity, and security features.

Diving Deep into the Polkadot Ecosystem

Following this, Cris Nguyen, a core contributor of Polkadot Insider shared insights on Polkadot's vision and how they foresee the Philippines leveraging Polkadot to realize its potential for more project development.

Echoing this focus on education, Patricia Arro from Polkadot SEA delivered an extensive presentation on Polkadot's core principles: scalability, interoperability, and governance. She emphasized how these pillars are essential to building a decentralized and interconnected Web3 ecosystem.

Polkadot offers security and consensus across its network. Attached to this are the parachains, or Layer 1 blockchains, which connect to the relay chain to ensure unified security and consensus, fostering an integrated and interoperable network.
