Coins.ph and Skyro Partner at ASEAN Tech Summit to Expand Digital Payments and Disbursements
Coins.ph, one of the leading digital wallet and crypto services provider in the Philippines, and Skyro, a fast-growing SEC-registered fintech company offering accessible consumer finance products, recently signed a partnership during the ASEAN Tech Summit at the Marriott Grand Ballroom in Newport City, Pasay City.
Formalizing the agreement were Wei Zhou, Chief Executive Officer, and Amira Alawi, Global Marketing Director, representing Coins.ph. Joining them on behalf of Skyro were Arsen Liametov, co-Founder and co-CEO; Nasim Aliev, co-Founder and co-CEO; and Anthony Co, President.
Under this new alliance, Coins.ph and Skyro will collaborate across key payment infrastructure verticals, including QR Ph Scan-to-Pay, QR Ph payment acceptance and seamless disbursement services. Through the integration of the national QR code standard (QR Ph), the partnership aims to provide consumers, enterprise partners and merchant networks with safer, faster and more versatile transaction capabilities.
Through this integration, consumers will benefit from frictionless, interoperable payments across Skyro’s network of more than 10,000 partner stores and more than 4,000 offline and online merchant partners nationwide. Simultaneously, Skyro will leverage Coins.ph’s payout infrastructure to further enhance its cash distributions, credit payouts, loan disbursements and merchant settlements, enabling partner businesses to process instant bulk payouts while improving operational efficiency.
"Partnering with Skyro allows us to expand the reach of our robust financial infrastructure and drive real, everyday utility for millions of users," said Wei Zhou, CEO of Coins.ph. "Through our joint work in QR Ph acceptance and disbursements, we are making interoperable digital payments faster, safer and far more accessible while advancing our shared commitment to digital financial inclusion across the country."
"This agreement accelerates our roadmap to build a fully integrated digital financial ecosystem," said Anthony Co, President of Skyro. "As fintech adoption expands beyond major metro areas into regional provinces, integrating robust QR Ph acceptance and payout rails ensures our digital financial products remain available everywhere."
The collaboration comes at a key moment as digital payment transactions in the Philippines reached nearly 25 trillion pesos (₱25 trillion) in 2025, driven by a 216% surge in electronic fund transfer volume through clearing houses like InstaPay and PESONet. Leveraging this momentum, Coins.ph and Skyro plan to roll out these integrated payment and disbursement options across their digital platforms in the coming months, setting a practical benchmark for cashless transformation.
